Leather develops character over time when cared for properly. Follow these simple steps to maintain its appearance, texture and durability.

1. Keep Leather Clean

Wipe your leather products gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and surface dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a leather cleaner suitable for the specific type of leather.

2. Avoid Excess Moisture

Keep leather away from excessive water and prolonged exposure to moisture. If it gets wet, gently blot with a dry cloth and allow it to air-dry naturally.

3. Protect from Direct Heat

Avoid leaving leather products in direct sunlight or near heaters for extended periods, as excessive heat can cause fading, dryness or cracking.

4. Store Properly

Store leather items in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Use a breathable dust bag where appropriate, and avoid plastic covers that can trap moisture.

5. Condition When Needed

Use a suitable leather conditioner when recommended for the leather type. Test any cleaning or conditioning product on a small, hidden area first.

6. Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Keep leather away from alcohol-based cleaners, bleach, solvents and household detergents, as these may damage the finish or change the colour.

7. Handle with Care

Avoid overloading bags, folding leather products sharply or allowing rough surfaces to scratch them. Store belts flat or hang them carefully to help maintain their shape.

Natural leather may feature variations in grain, texture and tone. These characteristics are part of its individual appearance. With regular care and proper storage, leather products can retain their appeal and develop a distinctive character over time.
